When police showed no interest in solving the case of this boy’s family, he instructed the junior officers to initiate the case instantly through DGP’s fake Twitter account. It only takes a little action on social media to draw attention of people against their issue. We’ve witnessed the officials taking action on every matter that draws people attention on social media, guess that’s what this boy from Gorakhpur thought when he dared to create a fake Twitter account of Director General of Police UP.

Why he did that? The elder brother of this boy was cheated by Maharajganj resident Sadiq Ansari who promised him a job in Dubai and took 45,000 from the family regarding the same. Later on he failed to keep his promise due to which the aggrieved family sought relief from the police.

His family a few days back filed a complaint in Gulharia Bazaar police station but the cops showed no interest in taking any action against it. The parents of this boy visited the station several times and requested the officers but nothing happened. A friend of this boy gave him the idea to create a fake Twitter of UP’s DGP and Instruct his Subordinates to initiate the case.

This Twitter account of DGP Om Prakash Singh looked authentic as it even had a picture of his. From this account he tweeted

“Tatkal Karryawayi Karne ki kripa karein”

to the SSP of Gorakhpur who later directed his Subordinates to work on this case. As a result the idea worked and Sadiq Ansari paid 30,000 back to the boy’s family promising to pay the remaining amount as soon as possible.

When the DGP was notified about this case he was unaware as no instructions were given by him. A report was initiated by Police of Hazratganj Police Station and Cyber cell from where it reached the boy who was detained by the police.

DGP OP Singh asked the boy about this case and he told him all the story. Later he was released by the police officers after a strict warning. DGP OP Singh on this said

“We took a reformative approach and let off the little boy after a strict warning as any action could affect their future”

Although what this boy did was wrong but if we look at the bigger picture, it is sad to see that it takes wrong ways to make the police officers to do the right thing. What do you think?
