Actress Swara Bhasker voiced her viewpoint on the politically motivated “Justice for SSR” Campaign following the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. The controversial actress acknowledged that she did not appreciate the campaign. Swara asserted that the group had begun to resemble a cult. In an interview with Frontline, the actor remarked that it is a well-planned and organized campaign. It is just motivated by the agenda. She added that the full picture would become clear once you are aware of the agenda and its funding sources. In an interview with Frontline, Swara said,

“It’s a very well-thought-out, organized campaign. It is purely agenda-driven, and once you understand what that agenda is and who is funding it, you get the whole picture. And then it becomes hard to see it as an organic phenomenon ever again. I still don’t fully understand the ‘Justice for SSR’ thing, to be honest. It became a cult or something very close to it.”

It then becomes challenging to continue to view it as an organic phenomenon. Swara also claimed to have advised her co-workers to deny any allegations made against them. This is what happens; she continued when there isn’t a strong counter-narrative. She cautioned her professional colleagues against the mistake of being silent. The SSR handles were spreading lies about them. Their silence was an acceptance of these outrageous assertions. Swara added,

“This is what happens in the absence of a strong counter-narrative. I told my colleagues in the industry that they were making a big mistake by staying silent. They should have countered the lies being told about them by the SSR handles. Their silence was read as confirmation of these wild allegations.”

The entire country was in shock by Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic death. Several Bollywood stars, including Rhea Chakraborty and Karan Johar, were viciously trolling on social media. Shortly after his passing, the “Justice for SSR” movement was viral on social media. It was because people thought Sushant was a victim of Bollywood politics and nepotism. Bollywood does undoubtedly contain some nepotism. The sister of Sushant Singh Rajput, Meetu, made a subtle jab at Bollywood earlier this month. She asserted that “Sushant’s Brahmastra” had the power to ruin Bollywood. Meetu Singh posted it on her Instagram account.

“Sushant’s Brahmastra is enough to destroy this Bollywood. Bollywood has always wanted to dictate the public, never stopping to show mutual respect n humility. How can we let people like this be the face of our country which is so rich in moral values? Their sorry attempt of winning d public’s love wid pretentiousness has failed. Quality n Moral values r the only thing that’ll win admiration n respect”

Recently, Swara appeared in the film Jahaan Chaar Yaar. Shikha Talsania, Meher Vij, Pooja Chopra, Girish Kulkarni, and Manish Chaudhari are also present in the movie. Swara claims that the movie is a buddy-comedy on “behenjis.” The narrative, according to her, “flips the script” and demonstrates the cool, badass, and sassy nature of behenjis.
