Jasprit Bumrah Will Not Play All Five Test Matches

Ajit Agarkar recently announced in a press conference that Jasprit Bumrah will be unavailable for selection in all five Test matches. The decision comes after physios advised against having the star player participate in every game to prevent a situation similar to the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. However, he will be available for the series but not for all five Test matches, citing workload management.

Agarkar mentioned that Bumrah is expected to play in three matches, but a final decision on how many matches he can participate in will be made later based on his fitness. Moreover, his ongoing injury concerns have impacted his chances of taking on any leadership roles within the team.

Mohammed Shami’s Journey Hampered By Injury

Mohammed Shami is not in the 18-member squad, as chief selector Ajit Agarkar confirmed that a recent injury has ruled him out. After undergoing an MRI scan, it was revealed that the right-arm seamer has sustained a fresh injury, putting him on the sidelines for the highly anticipated series against England. This news adds yet another layer of challenge to the team as they navigate their preparations.

Shubman Gill’s era begins in Test cricket for Team India. He will start with the toughest assignment against England overseas. Hope Shubman Gill will achieve great heights and take Team India to its first WTC trophy.
