We’re all used to getting groceries and snacks delivered fast these days. Instant delivery apps make life easy. You can order almost anything without leaving home. Most times it works fine — click, pay, wait for delivery. But sometimes things go wrong.

Vineeth called it a “Swiggy Horror Story” when he shared his experience online. Out of his entire order, only one pouch was sealed. The delivery person said it wouldn’t be opened and gave him two choices: take the whole order or cancel it.
After 40 minutes with customer support, Vineeth opened the sealed pouch. The silver coins were there, but there was another problem. The coins weren’t 999 purity as promised, they were 925 sterling silver instead.
The delivery partner took back the food packets. Vineeth told him to keep them if he couldn’t return them: “I didn’t order these, so I don’t want them,” he wrote.

Vineeth posted an update later. Swiggy delivered a corrected order the second time. Most coins were 999 purity this time, but two were still 925.
“Except for two coins, everything else is 999,” he shared, tagging Swiggy Instamart again to fix the remaining problem.
How Swiggy Responded?

Swiggy replied on social media: “This is not what we wish for you, Vineeth. Please share the order ID so we can address this further.”
They added: “Thank you for bringing this to our attention and for providing the details, Vineeth. We would like to run a quick check. Please bear with us.”

This incident shows that ordering expensive items through food delivery apps can be risky. While these apps work well for regular groceries and food, high-value items might need more careful handling.
