Indian Railways To Run 20 Special Trains For Durga Puja, Diwali, And Chhath 2025: Check Routes And Timings

Festival time means crowded trains and sold-out tickets. This year, Indian Railways has a solution. They are running 20 special trains with 80 extra services for Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath Puja. Check out new trains, schedules, and routes.

 

New Train Service: Hadapsar Danapur Route

The biggest addition is the Hadapsar Danapur train with 20 trips. It connects Maharashtra with Bihar during the busy festival season.

From Hadapsar to Danapur:

  • Train 03214 leaves every Monday from September 29 to December 1, 2025.
  • Departure time: 6:45 AM.
  • It reaches Danapur the next day at 7:45 PM.

From Danapur to Hadapsar:

  • Train 03213 leaves every Saturday from September 26 to November 29, 2025.
  • Departure time: 9 PM.
  • It reaches Hadapsar on the third day at 4:15 AM.

There are 8 AC 3-tier economy coaches, 8 sleeper coaches, 4 general second-class coaches, and 1 generator car.

 

Extended Mumbai Routes

Mumbai to Dhanbad (18 extra services)
This route has been extended to help people traveling to Jharkhand.

Schedule:

  • Train 03380: every Thursday, October 9 to December 4, 2025.
  • Train 03379: every Tuesday, October 7 to December 2, 2025.

Coaches: 2 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 6 AC 3-tier economy, 6 sleeper, 4 general second-class, 1 generator car.

Mumbai to Raxaul (20 extra services)
Good for people going to the Bihar and Nepal border areas.

When does it run?

  • Train 05558: Thursday, September 25 to November 27, 2025.
  • Train 05557: Tuesday, September 23 to November 25, 2025.

Special feature: Has First-cum-AC 2-tier coach plus 2 AC 2-tier, 6 AC 3-tier, 7 sleeper, 4 general second-class, 1 generator car.

Mumbai to Saharsa
This one has the most trips among all extended routes.

Timings:

  • Train 05586: Sunday, September 21 to November 30, 2025.
  • Train 05585: Friday, September 19 to November 28, 2025.

Coaches: 2 AC 2-tier, 5 AC 3-tier, 2 AC 3-tier economy, 6 sleeper, 5 general second-class, 1 generator car.
