Police are conducting raids to nab perpetrators of the heinous crime of gang-raping a minor. They also set her house ablaze, In Jharkhand. 14 were accused and arrested on charges of raping and murdering a 16-year old girl in the Chatra District’s Rajatenduwa Village. 4 of the accused have not been convicted yet.

This happened when the 16-year-old was on her way to attend a family’s marriage function. This was when the accused forcibly nabbed her. And he had taken her to a forest nearby the area and raped her.

The Local Village Panchayat was convened in light of this terrible crime. In which, the accused was found guilty and He was fined Rs. 50,000 along with the rest of the culprits. The leaders also punished the accused, to do 100 sit-ups.

Enraged by these consequences and verdict it lead to the accused got it into a heated disagreement with the family members of the girl as well as the members of the panchayat. And later, he rushed to the girl’s house and set it on fire but unfortunately, the girl died in the fire.

After the course of these events, the accused fled the village. Raghubar Das the Chief Minister of Jharkhand is astonished by such vile and inhuman acts and condemns the incident. He added that there was no place in the society for such heinous acts. He assured that the culprits won’t get away.
