On May 19, 2023, the traffic police in Patna fined Bageshwar Dham leader Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, or ‘Bageshwar Baba,’ and MP Manoj Tiwari for not wearing seat belts. Moreover, he assumed the name Dhirendra Krishna Shastri and came from a spiritual family, with his paternal grandfather, Bhagwandas Garg, being a revered Siddhi saint.

According to Shravan Kumar, everything in Bihar is done in accordance with the law. Furthermore, he emphasized the need for leaders, religious figures, the general population, and bureaucrats to follow the norms. Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri paid a visit to Patna on May 13. From May 13 to 17, Target Pali in Naubatpur hosted a Hanumant Katha festival. However, both Bageshwar Baba and Manoj Tiwari were caught not wearing seat belts.
