Coldplay Kiss Cam Sparks Kristin Cabot’s Divorce Filing
At the Coldplay performance in Boston on July 16, Astronomer CEO Andy Byron was seen on camera giving the company’s CPO, Kristin Cabot, a hug. Cabot and her husband are reportedly now divorcing one another.
A Kiss Cam switched to Byron and Cabot during the British band’s performance. With Byron’s hands around Cabot’s waist, they were spotted standing there like any other couple. Both of them later quit their jobs as a result of the video’s enormous social media following.
Less than a month after the Kiss Cam controversy went viral on social media, on August 13, Kristen Cabot filed for divorce from her husband, Andrew Cabot, in a Portsmouth, New Hampshire court.
Kristin Is Not “Wife Material,” According To Andrew Cabot’s Ex-Wife
Julia, Andrew’s ex-wife, didn’t find the breakup shocking. Andrew and Julia were married for four years before divorcing in 2018. Julia revealed that shortly after the Kiss Cam video became viral, she texted Andrew.
“Her (Kristin’s) life is nothing to do with me,” Andrew allegedly informed her, adding that they were already preparing to split up.
Julia was unrestrained in her criticism of Andrew, calling him “husband material” sarcastically, and said he “only cares about money.” “But she doesn’t seem like wife material either,” she added, extending the criticism to Kristin as well. “Despite the fact that they were married and lived together, he claims it has nothing to do with him. Then again, money is all that matters to him,” she replied.
Regarding 52-year-old Kristin, who was seen in July without her wedding ring, she continued, “But she doesn’t seem like wife material either.”
Julia claims that although Andrew was humiliated by the publicity, he was not particularly impacted by the issue. “Personally, I don’t believe that his sentiments are offended. If anything, he’s probably humiliated. He is not a kind individual. He now experienced a negative event,” she told the Daily Mail. “Because of this, I received a ton of texts from people using the word ‘karma’ after it happened. It was like what you give, you get,” she stated.
The Daily Mail claims that the Cabots were merely acting as though their marriage was failing in order to avoid more humiliation,
“The family is now saying they have been having marriage troubles for several months and were discussing separating, which I find interesting since as of a month ago they were saying how in love they are,” a person familiar with the matter told the Mail.

Kristin and Andrew Cabot bought a two-story, four-bedroom New Englander-style house near the Atlantic shore for $2.2 million five months before the scandal.
An article in the New York Times stated that the Cabots were valued at $200 million in 1972. According to the New York Post, their wealth would have increased to $15.4 billion by 2025.
