The family Ziona Chana, said, “I once married 10 women in one year”. All his sons and the wives live in the same house building with their children sharing a common kitchen.

They have more than 100 rooms, in the four storey building. That house is located in Baktwang village, Mizoram, and all his wives sleep together in a giant dormitory.

The family strength is 194, and they consume 100 kg of rice and around 60 kg of potatoes in one day. When it comes to non-veg food then they prepare 30 whole chicken for the family to prepare dinner for themselves.

The wives do cooking, while the daughters are engaged in cleaning and washing and men do all outdoor jobs like farming, jobs and many more.

Ziona  said, “Even today I am ready for marriage and can afford one more wife”. He then said, “I am lucky that God have given me so many people to take care for”.

Chana met his very first wife when he was 17-year-old. He is head of a local Christian religious sect, called as ‘Chana’ in which polygamy is allowed.

Chana keeps his youngest wife very near to his bedroom with the older members of the family sleeping further away, then there goes a rotation system for who visits Mr. Chana’s bedroom.

The Chana sect was formed back in 1942 and they believes in the returning of Jesus Christ, after which they will rule the world with their families. But we must say, too much effort for that!
