Renowned Indian singer, actor, and politician Pawan Singh is well-known for his contributions to the Bhojpuri film industry as well as his popular songs such as “Lollipop Lagelu.”

On January 5, 1986, Pawan Singh was born in the Jokahri village, close to Arrah in Bihar, India. At an early age, he became passionate about music, and he started his career singing devotional songs and performing at local festivals. His 1997 debut album, “Odhaniya Wali,” brought him much praise, and in 2008, the smash song “Lollipop Lagelu” catapulted him to stardom.

Why People Are Criticizing Pawan Singh

Pawan Singh and Anjali Raghav were seen standing next to each other on stage in the disputed video. Pawan chose to wear a white coat and pants, while Anjali was dressed in a shimmering golden saree as she spoke to the crowd. Pawan touched Anjali’s waist as she engaged with the audience.

She smiled at first and went on talking, but she was clearly embarrassed when Pawan touched her waist once again. She refused to move her hand when he requested her to do so, and after touching her waist for a while, Pawan finally said, “Okay” and took his hand off her. The musician was criticized by Reddit members for caressing Anjali in an indecent manner.

Anjali Raghav Slams Trolls For Misinterpreting Her Reaction

Anjali Raghav posted videos on Saturday slamming Pawan’s behavior, and she revealed that she has been in a great deal of discomfort for the past two days and has been overwhelmed with messages asking why she did not respond or act during the Lucknow event. Because she was spotted smiling, several people misinterpreted her and made memes that said she liked the inappropriate touch. Anjali Raghav revealed,

“I’ve been really anxious for the past two days, I keep getting direct messages asking why I didn’t slap him, why I didn’t say anything, and why I didn’t do anything. In memes, some people are even pointing the finger at me and saying things like ‘She was smiling, enjoying it.’ If someone touched me in public without my permission, would I be pleased or appreciate it?”

What Was The Incident?

Anjali Raghav clarified that Pawan pointed to her waist and said something had gotten stuck there while speaking to the crowd on stage. She laughed it off at first, thinking the problem might be resolved later because she felt the tag on her new saree or blouse might be visible.

Anjali Raghav asked a team member after the event if anything was truly stuck, and they confirmed that nothing was. She was uncertain of how to respond to this realization, which caused her to become very unhappy, angry, and tearful. She remarked,

“Apne team member se pucha ki kuch laga hai, unhone kaha ki kuch bhi nahi laga tha,” she said. “Baad mein gussa aaya aur rona bhi aaya, tab mujhe bohot zyada bura laga. Socha ki main kya karun lekin mujhe samajh nahi aaya. However, I was at a loss for what to do.”

Anjali Raghav Reveals She Planned To Confront Pawan, But He Left Early

Pawan left the event shortly after producing clips despite her plan to confront him backstage, she revealed. When she got home the following day, she discovered the debate had intensified. People told her not to write anything because Pawan Singh’s PR staff is “very strong” and may turn the situation against her, according to Anjali. At first, she thought the problem would resolve itself in a day or two, but it only worsened.

“I absolutely do not support touching any girl without her permission”, she stated, strongly criticizing the incident. “First of all, it is incorrect. Furthermore, it is completely wrong to touch someone in this manner. I wouldn’t have needed to reply at all if Haryana had experienced the same situation. There, people would have answered on their own. However, I was in Lucknow and not at home.”

In the Bhojpuri industry, the viral episode has sparked discussions about professional conduct and consent. The need for transparency and better working conditions for women in entertainment is highlighted by Anjali Raghav’s choice to speak up in spite of harassment and trolling.
